What is the best way to bring an end to the european union?

im not a big fan of the european union why do we need to be a member of this institution as it currently is surely it would be better for us to be part of some kind of european trading bloc rather than an organisation that creeps into every aspect of youre life why does it need a flag an anthem why does it need the trappings of state when it should be use to strenghten trade not to try to merge all the countries together into one big country.
