I have heard this many times but not really taken notice (assumed scare tactics), now the Telegraph have the story, what are the facts?

A lot of what is being spread about Islam and the effects Muslims have on the world are lies.
Yes, there are muslims who would want to impose a twisted form of the religion they follow upon us, but there are nutters in all religious groups. It is just more fashionable to bash Islam. One hundred years ago, it was more fashionable to bash catholics, and seven hundred years ago, Jews.
History shows us that the scaremongers were wrong about Jews and Catholics in the past, and shows us the lies spread about them, and the effects it had.
