Why don’t US vote to go back to British rule and be better off ?

In USA today there are so many deep problems and we look across the pond from Europe and see the suffering of the USA people. WHY NOT vote to rejoin the commonwealth and join the European Union and be happy like we are ? Instead of geting divorced, fighting, having custody battles and so on why not have a Nationl Health Service, Queen, fairer taxation, proper public transport (better than in USA anyhow) and a Great nation of happiness ?
Plus your kids could come and work and live in any EU state with no visa and no problem.
Why not return to the fold as the USA has lost touch with the original ideals of the founding fathers ?
Why not be a happy people serving the Queen ?

I did not believe when I have read that British are living in the past glories. Look around and tell me what you see in UK/EU that is better than USA? Canada? Australia? Houses prices? fuel prices? Jobs? Economy? standard of living? crimes? better education? emigrations? taxation? I DO NOT SEE MUCH DIFFERENCE in the whole “civilised world” But I have a vision that the “non civilised world” will be in power in the next 20/30 years. Why? They are educating the whole population but we are just educating a little clique not the whole population. This is making the real difference we are going down hill they are going up hill. We better change our thinking and look in face the reality not past glories of Kings and Queens. Times change and if we do not chance we will extinguish as civilised world. This is to give you a wider view of the real situation. Russia, Chine, India, Brazil are emerging BIG ECONOMIES
