What is your view on The EU claiming the British Overseas Territories as their own(UK)?
Today in the EU Parliament UKIP MEP John Bufton asked Baroness Ashton where the EU stands on the sovereignty of the islands regarding the British Overseas Territories.
Baroness Ashton replied.
“The Falkland islands is an associated territory to the European Union”

When will people wake up? The European Union is NOT the common market anymore, it’s now a political union with the power to create and assent new legislation.
Even the EU commissioner Jose Manuel Barroso claimed the EU is an Empire.

This Ashton person, more or less unknown in the UK, was appointed to her unelected position with the same underhand shenanigans which marks all their unelected bureaucratic appointments. Even the title ‘High Representative for Foreign Affairs & Security Policy smacks of something from a Gilbert & Sullivan light opera! (ie: Lord High Executioner) The less known one is in your own country the less likely anyone back home will take notice of ones mindless outpourings. The most likely response when this lady is mentioned would probably be “Who the Hell is that?” The Falklands cannot possibly be an associated territory to the EU. If this were true the whole membership of the British Commonwealth of Nations would also become under the sway of the European Union. As for Jose Manuel Barroso’s ridiculous statement it’s better ignored as it only serves to exhibit the paucity of talent evident within the ranks of EU commissioners!
