What are the required documents for US musicians touring Europe?

I’m wondering if there is a straight-forward website that includes work visas and permit forms or information in one place for musicians from the United States traveling to the United Kingdom and European Union. I understand these may be two separate entities, but I’m looking for a push in the right direction. Thanks!
