what do you need to transport a horse(animal) in the european union from romania to italy?

passport for the horse?health documents?special authorisations? please very importnat

Hi Radu…please check with the Italian embassy to learn what are the requirements to transport domestic animals from eastern Europe into the EU. Usually, veterinary health certificates are needed including animal microchipping. The Italian embassy can provide all the necessary information for you prior to bringing your horse.
