Future Superpowers? How would this affect America’s world status?
There is a real possibility that within the next 30 years China, India, and the European Union could become superpowers due to their rapid economic and population growth rate.
How would this affect America’s status in the world?
What would be the repercussions if this were to happen?
Those who control American politics are way smarter than me and you. And i’m not talking about Bush, but a lot more people.
European Union is no where close to being a superpower. Their opinion is too divided, their population is actually not rising and too many economical problems to face with new additions added every year (poor countries such as Romania)
China is communist. People of the country will soon realize their rights and will seek for it. Remember the time when China was a real communist country? Now it’s soften to a more Capitalism way. And sooner or later, workers will gain their rights and will be paid more. So do you think that any company would like to pay higher price for workers in china? No, they’ll move. America will not lose to China. Plus China population is not growing fast anymore.
India has many economical and social problems. Their population is growing, but they got no food to support it. They got a democracy, a good way to become superpowers, but they lack the power in world scale. Their not even in G8 (China is not also, but that’s because their communists).
Us has been the sole super power since 1991 after USSR collapsed, and been a superpower, along with USSR since WW2. It’s a very short time. Remember the Persian Empire was a super power for nearly 250 years! The Romans for about 300 years and the Sassanids for also 300 years.
So we will see US as the super power for a long time and there is no real competition at the time… Except China which will be dissolved into Capitalism.
Good luck to you
