Is It True Canada Is Joining The European Union?

I was reading about it online and came across some interesting articles.

To be honest; no. Turkey, which part of it actually resides in continental Europe is having a hard time getting into the EU. Now imagine a North American continent. Why would they let country from a different continent join their continental union? Makes no sense.
