European Union Member Nations

Can a member of the European Union be expelled from the EU?
Specifically, without that members (that is being expelled) consent. Since (currently) each of the 27 EU members has a veto right, it seems no member could (effectively) be expelled since the member in question could veto its own proposed expusion, even if the other 26 member nations voted to expel it.
If there is a method to expel a nation WITHOUT its consent, what specifically is the process? How many ‘votes’ from EU member states must approve it?
Mike, I believe you are mistaken. Typically any major decision requires unanimity in the EU.
In the future, when answering please provide your source for your answer.
Thank You
Yes, it can happen with a majority vote.
