does european law have standards for age limitations on games?
I was wondering if european union laws cover the area of gaming.
The last I heard from about February, there was discussion about age limits on violent games being set by the national governments of the Member States. As of right now, the EU has no European-level legislation with regard to age and violent games.
There is an independent and voluntary ratings code called the Pan European Game Information.
If there ever is EU action, it most likely would be a standard adopted by the EU that the national governments would have then to adopt.
