European Union Languages Learning

european union languages learning
Can’t decide between two study abroad programs in Europe….?

There is one in Strasbourg, France where I will have to take a semester of French before going and I have never taken French.

There is another with the European Union in Germany and I will have to take a semester of German and I have not taken this language either.

Both of this programs sound interesting but I do not know which one to pick. Plus, I will have to pick which language to take as well soon for my Fall semester. What do you suggest?

Pros and cons?

Please help!

PS- Which language would be cooler to learn (I’m already fluent in English and Spanish)
The German program is in Freiburg and Strasbourg is on the border of France and Germany.

German would be cooler to learn. Strong, powerful language. French is a lot more common in the US, German is not. I would be more impressed by German than French. But French is more widely used in the US, and Canada if you go there.

As far as which program, I would say go to Germany. Again, France is a common place for more Americans, and you can learn more about France in a book, that you would about Germany.

Good luck to you.
