European Union Headquarters France

european union headquarters france
why are France part of the latin union?

While the French are not considered latins/latinos, but are Europeans – of Gallic ethnicity, like English people.
France seems even to be host the headquarters of the latin Union (in Paris). Italy, Portugal and Spain, which are also European countries are included of the latin union…
Why is that??

Latino just means Latin in some Latin languages. People just don’t understand that in the US the word Latino is just an abbreviation of Latinoamericano. The French are Latin Europeans, therefore they are still Latin(o)s. In fact, the only reason Latin Americans are considered Latinos is because of the Latin Euros, do you think the Aztecs, Mayan, Tainos, etc, were Latinos before the Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Italians arrived? Absolutely not! In fact, I myself, am married to a Latino from Portugal.
