How come the UK does not adopt the euro?
Well face it, almost everybody in the european union are using the euro or will adopt the euro with in the next 5-7 years. Why can’t britain realize the good benefits that the euro will bring to it’s economy?
1. It will reduce the costs of currency transactions (you dont have to exchange currency when traveling around europe)
2. It will make our economy better (just look at ireland, it did wonders to its economy)
becuase it has the sterling which is a highly considered currency. having its own currency, can use it to compensate for any possible changes in the economy. for example it can devaluate to increase its exports…although in the long run it would have negative repecussions because of devaluation in the currency.
