How to fix our Public Schools?
It is obvious that our schools are not performing to the standards we as Americans would like-
What do we need to do to fix them? Remove the Teachers Union?
Make Education vouchers more available?
Encourage Public School at home(public schools are going virtual, as well as providing a program for homeschoolers to be at home but to have access to public materials)?
More discipline?
More hours or less hours? Year round or give our summers back?(summers are shorter by far then 20 years ago)
More European- meaning later to school earlier to graduate?
Why the increase in poor student behavior?
Larger or smaller classrooms?
Dismantle the US Department of Education
Put local school boards, parents, teachers back in charge of curriculum, etc.
Get the psychologists out of the schools.
Get rid of revised history, fuzzy math, whole language reading instruction, bilingual education, political correctness, diversity training.
Get old, classic textbooks and teach phonics based reading, arithmetic using drills, teach grammar, geography, history.
Allow discipline in the schools but cut out the political correctness crap. Don’t accuse kindergarteners of sexual harassment when they give a friend a hug. Don’t arrest middle school boys for swatting the butts of other students in the hallway (suspension is okay but arresting them and pressing charges is STUPID!).
Let the kids have recess. Let them play tag, and dodge ball. Don’t keep lowering the age of compulsory attendance. Give parents more CHOICE. Vouchers, charters, etc.
Kick out the teachers unions. They have harmed our students more than any other entity!
Lowering the standards of justice
