European Union Bailout Greece

european union bailout greece
What website can I view to see how Finland voted in the European Union with regards to the Greece bailout?

And of course why Finland voted how it did?

Thank you.

I couldn’t find any information about any vote by Eurogroup finance ministers related to their May 2 decision to bail out Greece. If there was a vote, the vote information isn’t publicly available.

Finland’s parliament approved its share of the bailout on May 12.

From the Helsinki Times:

http://www.helsinkitimes.fi/htimes/domestic-news/politics/11070-finnish-parliament-passes-greek-bailout-loan-after-stormy-debate-.html

“The government’s proposal was passed with 108 votes to 63 after a heated and lengthy debate during which opposition MPs questioned Greece’s ability to repay. Only the government parties voted for the proposal, with one Centre Party MP breaking ranks to vote against it…. Social Democratic MPs affirmed that they were not against supporting Greece, but they wanted banks to participate as well and commit to reforming the financial system.”

Additional explanation by non-governmental parties opposing the bailout are in this article: http://yle.fi/uutiset/news/2010/05/finnish_politicians_react_to_greek_bailout_1648990.html
