Do you think that another civil war or a revolution could happen in America in the next 25 years?

Given current threats do you think that is possible in the next 25 years? How about 50 years? What threat if any do China, EU (European Union)and Middle East pose to the United States?
I mean to say what threat do they if any in the future.

Part of the issue is that you look at other trading and unifying groups of nations as “threats”. China will beat the US in terms of economic power in the next 30 years or so because it has lower wages, more resources (including not having alienated half of OPEC), and a much better work ethic/human resource.

The EU is the biggest economic entity on Earth, and most of these economies have weathered the turmoil of restructuring in the modern world a lot better than the US, generally.

The Mid. East still has the drawcard of oil, and will continue to exert influence as long as this is true. Remember, China and India are fast up-and-comers, and will not halt their progress because the US is upset.

Revolution/civil war is unlikely. “Revolution” is a concept spewed out by Champagne socialists who seem to think that they have the knowledge/right/entitlement or whatever to take over, but then what? No revolution has ever succeeded without:

1. Brute military force.
2. Emancipation and THEN repression of the people: they get you in and then you geet them at heel.
3. An effective and repressive system of informants and police.
4. Stifling creativity and not rewarding acheivement.
5. Some sort of Cult of Personality.
6. Henious restrictions on freedoms and infprmation.

Therefore, I say again, revolution is neither likely or desireable.
